SUMMARY:Caregiver Education Series: Learn About Assistive Technology Support for Caregivers
DESCRIPTION:Join Lyngblomsten Community Services for a presentation at its Como Park campus (1415 Almond Avenue\, Saint Paul\, MN 55108) about how assistive technology (AT) can be used as a tool to ease symptoms experienced with dementia and to relieve caregiver stress. \nPresenters will discuss how AT can help people with dementia feel safer\, more competent\, more independent\, and more successful with daily tasks in order to remain in their homes longer. Attendees will encounter multiple examples that can be implemented by the caregiving partner to enhance or simplify the means in which they watch\, listen\, and care for the person they support across the progression of the disease. \nRegistration: Registration is required by Monday\, June 1\, by filling out the form below. Contact Lisa Brown with questions at 651.632.5320 or caregiving@lyngblomsten.org. \nCost: No fee. Following the presentation\, all participants will receive a letter asking them to consider making a suggested contribution. \nPresenters: Sue Redepenning\, OTR/L\, and Megan Hunter\, OTR/L\, of LiveLife Therapy Solutions. \n  \n \n  \n \nSue Redepenning\, OTR/L\, is an Occupational Therapist and the owner of LiveLife Therapy Solutions\, Inc.\, an assistive technology provider helping people remain in their own homes.
