Lyngblomsten is a Christian nonprofit affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our Spiritual Care Department tends to the spiritual well-being of our residents, regardless of their faith background or traditions.
Lyngblomsten chaplains provide spiritual care to residents and anyone connected with Lyngblomsten (family members, staff, volunteers), offering support for times of transition, loss, and grief and celebrating the joy of daily life together. Our chaplains also work with area clergy when congregational members are residents at the care center.
Offerings include:
Creative and enriching opportunities are a regular part of life for residents of Lyngblomsten’s Como Park campus. Our Lifelong Learning & the Arts Department works with residents and staff to design art-based programming. This includes instruction in arts like painting, sculpture, writing, dance, theater, and music as well as nature-based programs, concerts by professional musicians, and outings to local museums, historical sites, theater productions, and other cultural events.
Multiple studies have shown that people feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally when engaged in creative activities. Lifelong Learning & the Arts helps create a community of learners and creators, providing them with enrichment throughout their time with Lyngblomsten and helping them integrate into the community.
Located on the first floor of the Lyngblomsten Care Center, Anna’s is home to delicious food, thoughtful gifts, and special events such as our holiday open house. It’s a wonderful spot to share a laugh over a meal, purchase a card for someone special, or enjoy a game of cards or cribbage with a friend.
Food offerings include hot entrées, a salad bar, grab-n-go deli items, desserts, seasonal soups, and quick-cook items such as chicken strips, corn dogs, mini pizzas, and egg rolls.
Anna’s also offers a variety of gift items, jewelry, greeting cards, and personal care items for purchase, along with seasonal and holiday-themed gifts and decorations.

Black Walnut from trees in the courtyard were used to build the cross, altar, and lectern for the chapel. It was designed by volunteer architect, Robb Kerr, and built by local craftsmen.
