The start date is fast approaching for the construction of a new and improved courtyard for Lyngblomsten’s Como Park campus. Construction is anticipated to begin the first week of May and is expected to last 10 to 12 weeks.

Located centrally on campus, this outdoor space will once again be a sought-after destination for residents to enjoy—for socializing with family and friends, participating in life-enriching classes and activities, enjoying nature, and more. In short, it will be grounds for joy for years to come for all who live, work, volunteer, participate, or visit the campus.

The Lyngblomsten Board of Directors approved investing nearly a million dollars to renovate and improve the courtyard, knowing what an important, special amenity it is for our campus. A substantial portion of the funds needed for the renovation was given by donors through the Lyngblomsten Foundation’s Grounds for Joy! capital campaign.

Nearly every part of the courtyard will be touched—repaired, refreshed, or replaced—with new additions to include a pavilion for hosting concerts and classes, a grilling station, beautiful flower beds, a water feature, and more.
