If you or someone you know is a family caregiver, then you already know that caregiving is where love and labor meet!
For those who are caring for a loved one living at home with memory loss, that labor often means exhaustion, vigilance, long days and nights, wondering if there is more you should or could be doing. Caregiving is a 24/7 responsibility.
The good news is that you can help! Won’t you give a gift to help a caregiver make it through another day?
No matter the amount, your gift helps provide a day at The Gathering. This program is for an older adult still living at home and living with memory loss. It provides four hours of enrichment while giving a break to the caregiver. In addition, your gift supports caregiver support groups, a place for just that—support. Your gift also helps connect a caregiver with training and education opportunities. It helps provide individualized support and resources to a caregiver over the phone, in person, by email, or virtually. These services are not fully covered by fees; they happen because of you!
Maybe you are wondering just how much impact your gift will make. Let the caregivers themselves tell you:
“Just having a sympathetic person on the other end of the phone gave me hope that I would find my way along the caregiver journey.”
“My mom is an immigrant, English is her second language, and she is deaf. But the care and comfort she receives make her feel like she can do anything. She has a sense of belonging and purpose.”
Please give your best gift now by filling out the form below to make sure a caregiver gets the help and support they need. There is a caregiver depending on your generous gift. Let them know they are not alone in their labor.
