DESCRIPTION:This Parkinson’s Disease Support Group is an informal\, self-managed organization of persons with Parkinson’s and their caregivers whose purpose is to share information and offer mutual support in a spirit of self-acceptance. It’s a place where other family members and friends can feel welcome and supported. Any stage of Parkinson’s Disease is welcome. \nThis is an open group that meets the first Thursday of the month; come as often as you are able. DESCRIPTION:In honor of National Family Caregivers Month this November\, Lyngblomsten Community Services invites you to meet Minnesota author and family caregiver Linda Knebel Pruden. Experience how her story of caring for her husband with dementia provides a witness to the rewards and challenges of caregiving. \nLinda’s recently released book\, From Fear to Peace\, shares her journey and explores the struggles\, triumphs\, and profound impact of love and faith in the face of adversity. Through her story\, Linda offers messages of hope and peace for caregivers and those who support them. \nLight refreshments will be served\, and limited onsite respite care will be available (spots must be reserved ahead of time). Following her presentation\, Linda will be available to answer questions and sign copies of her book. \nRegistration: To help us plan refreshments and seating this FREE event\, we greatly appreciate your registering in advance by November 3 using the form below.
