Lyngblomsten Ice Cream Social

Lyngblomsten will be hosting its summer Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 6, from 3–7 PM to celebrate its 120th anniversary and America’s 250th birthday. Enjoy live entertainment and the tastes of summer in the nature-filled Nash Courtyard at the Como Park campus (1415 Almond Ave., Saint Paul, MN 55108).

Invitees are Lyngblomsten residents and participants from both campuses and their families, volunteers, delegates, and employees.

Food includes varme pølse (sausage wrapped in lefse), hotdogs, chips, fruit, ice cream (Nelson’s!), and beverages.

The Twin Cities Hardingfelelag (Norwegian fiddle group) and Renee Vaughan and Paul Sauey (Swedish folk music) will be performing.

There will be a Lyngblomsten 120th anniversary timeline display & trivia, A Taste of Norway (sampling and demos of Norwegian treats), games, and an art exhibit featuring resident and participant works.

Admission, food, and all activities are free.
